Uløya – Your Adventure at the Edge of the World
In the far north of Norway, in the heart of the Lyngen region, lies the island of Uløya – a place where the wild Arctic meets the warm hospitality of our resort. Here, you’ll enjoy unforgettable family holidays while exploring pristine nature, untouched landscapes, and the magical phenomenon of the polar day.

Our guests fish for cod, halibut, and saithe straight from the fjord, then head off to mountain trails, admire breathtaking views, watch the northern lights, swim with whales, and discover waterfalls hundreds of meters high!
After a day full of adventure, they return to a cozy cabin overlooking the fjord and unwind in the sauna or by the fire.

Uløya – An Extraordinary Island for an Extraordinary Holiday
Uløya is truly one-of-a-kind. It marks the boundary of the true Arctic – not the geographic one defined by the Arctic Circle (located 500 km to the south!), but the climatic one, defined by the 10°C July isotherm.

Day That Never Ends
The polar day is a unique experience – the sun never sets, and even in the middle of the “night” you can witness the midnight sun. The sun hovers low above the northern horizon, bathing the landscape in a red-golden glow and an otherworldly light.

Mountains That Call You to the Trail
The island features the famous ridge of Blåtinden (1142 m) – Uløytinden (1114 m) – Kjelvagtinden (1104 m), forming one of the most beautiful trekking routes in northern Norway – even praised by royal hikers.
Along the way, you’ll encounter waterfalls hundreds of meters high and dozens of lakes, including the largest: Isvannet (Ice Lake) and Blåvannet (Blue Lake).
Streams flow from their surfaces – sometimes wild and rushing, sometimes gently meandering through green meadows. One of them cascades down a cliff visible from our house windows.

Wild Nature Up Close
Uløya is home to moose and reindeer – including the famous two-time world champion racing reindeer, “Typhoon.”
You’ll find untouched rock faces, stunning valleys, and majestic peaks. The fjord and surrounding wilderness teem with birdlife: ptarmigans, herons, puffins, and sea eagles.
Nearby Vorterøya Island is a globally renowned sanctuary for rare species.

A Panorama You’ll Never Forget
Climbing any peak on Uløya rewards you with views of the monumental Lyngen Alps (up to 1500 m), plunging steeply into the blue waters of the Lyngen fjord.
On the other side, you’ll be enchanted by the slender silhouettes of Kågen and Arnøya – rarely visited, magically serene islands.
Arnøya is the spiritual capital of the Sámi – the indigenous people of the north, herding reindeer across the Arctic.
Kågen invites you to explore the valleys of Valhalla and Crystal – astonishing in their beauty and grandeur.

The Arctic That Can Be Green
In summer, Uløya and Lyngen surprise visitors – alongside rugged mountains, you’ll find seas of flowers, heather fields, lush birch forests, and an abundance of wildlife, birds, and fish.
It’s truly the end of the world – but in a version that delights with peace, clean air, and closeness to nature.

Why Visit Us with Your Family
Beyond fishing, we offer walks, treks, wildlife watching, fjord excursions, and sauna relaxation.
It’s a place where passion meets rest, and everyone finds something for themselves.
Unlike the familiar Mediterranean landscapes, summer here is pleasantly warm but rarely hot, often dry and sunny.
Children love the proximity to the sea, boat rides, and fishing adventures (often ending with impressive catches!), while adults appreciate the unique scenery and abundance of hiking trails.
